Next Step for the Willows Mansion

Radnor no longer wants the Willows mansion to be a drain on its resources.

The Radnor Township Parks and Recreation Board heard public participation on the Willows proposals at its Thursday, Dec. 13 meeting.

According to Main Line Media News, "more than a dozen residents shared their views Thursday night about Radnor Township’s search for a public-private partnership aimed at revitalizing the Willows, the iconic mansion and 47 acres on Darby-Paoli Road that has become a drain on Radnor taxpayers."

The newspaper writes, "At the end of public and Park and Recreation Board discussion, the vote was 5-2 to defer any recommendation until the Board of Commissioners provides a clearer idea of criteria and objectives regarding the decision, something Commissioner John Nagle said they would have before their January 2013 meeting."
