Community Members Invited to RTSD Superintendent Search Focus Group Sessions, Dec. 11 & 13

RTSD values your input! Focus group sessions for community members will take place 12/11 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 12/13 from 2:30-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Registration is appreciated but not required.


The Radnor Township School District Board of School Directors is in the process of selecting a superintendent of schools to replace retiring superintendent Dr. Linda Grobman. The Board of School Directors is seeking input from parents and the community at large by means of a series of focus groups. These focus groups will share their experience and insight into the type of leader that the district will need to successfully educate our students for the 21st century.

The focus group sessions for parents and community members will take place Tues., Dec. 11 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. in Radnor Middle School's Large Group Instruction room and Thurs., Dec. 13 from 2:30-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the ground floor conference room of the district's administration building. Registration is appreciated but not required.

The goals of the focus groups are to:

  • Identify the qualities needed in a superior school leader;
  • Identify the strengths and skills essential for the next superintendent to demonstrate;
  • Identify key issues facing the district in the next five years that the superintendent will need to
  • address; and,
  • Identify the obstacles to maintaining Radnor’s excellence in student achievement and the strategies the next superintendent will need to employ to overcome those obstacles.
