lost for the third-straight time, dropping a 42-20 decision to Archbishop Ryan Saturday night, and things will get even more challenging this Friday, when the Patriots travel to 3-1 Academy Park. The Pats have been in games, it’s the little things that have accumulated to sting them.
“Some of it is missed coverages on defense and not knowing assignments, and some of it is not playing with as much intensity as we need to,” Pats’ junior tailback Eric Massenburg said. “We need to practice harder than we have been practicing. Coach [Joe] Powell is doing the best he can. Coach Powell has given us everything and placed us in a spot to win, except we have to go out and perform.
“We’re getting off to poor starts. We need to come out firing. [Junior] Sal Bello is coming around at quarterback. We do have other weapons on this team, guys that can make plays. This is our first year with the new offense and coaching staff, but I see it coming together. We have the potential to be a very good team.”
