Classmates Show More 'Love for Logan'

School is starting soon for the seventh grade class of school in Wayne. But one boy with a big perspnality will be missing from class this year.

Logan Schweiter is learning how to move and communicate at Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania's rehab unit about one month after during a rainstorm.

His classmates came together Tuesday to create banners of "Love for Logan" to hang on the fence of the school yard.

They did the same thing right after the July 25 accident, but much of the class was on vacation.

"The kids that couldn't come were crushed," said Bridget Devine, whose son J.P. is friends with Logan.

A banner was even taken to Avalon, N.J. so families vacationing at the shore could sign one.

Devine said that for most children in the class this is their first experience of a peer almost dying.

"Logan has a big personality. It's hard for all of them," she said. "They really miss him and they don't know what's going to happen."

There are numerous fundraisers for Logan's care, including the sale of t-shirts and bracelets.
