This has been a lean season for Radnor’s football team. Red Raiders’ coach Tom Ryan has maintained a positive attitude, and in turn, so has his team.
Despite a 0-6 overall mark and 0-4 in the Central League, Ryan is looking for those little things that have shined at times. One of them surfaced on Thursday night in the 49-3 loss to undefeated Springfield. Radnor pulled off something rare, and for a brief moment, the Red Raiders made a very good Cougars team sweat.
Garrison Jacques and Tim Wilson each intercepted Springfield quarterback Ryan Strain on his first two passes. The turnovers led to Bobby Koons’ 33-yard field goal. It marked one of the rare times Springfield trailed this season. The Red Raiders won’t get any break the next three weeks.
