Good Sportsmanship and a Win

Radnor has a good night against Penncrest.

At the start of the final Radnor girls' basketball game of the regular season against Penncrest on Feb. 7 — also Radnor's Senior Night — Penncrest graciously allowed injured RHS senior standout Hannah Rose Nussbaum to score the first points of the game undefended. Nussbaum had injured her foot during the sixth game of the season and was done for the year.

RHS returned the favor and the teams began the contest tied 2-2. The game was pivotal as RHS needed a win to secure a spot in the Central League's first-ever 4-team playoff.

The other game is Lower Merion High School vs. Haverford High School at 8 p.m. The winners will play each other for the Central League championship on Sat., Feb. 11.
