In advance of this year’s race, the RES PTO partnered with iRun4Life to begin and promote a running program for RES students. The RES 5K Running Club is a non-competitive running program designed to promote fitness among youth and focuses on exercise, healthy nutrition and doing good deeds at home and in the community. Training for 71 students began in March with running, stretching, relay games and discussions about nutrition. The goal race for the club is the RES SMART Run 5K.

Registration fees are $53 per family. Individual registration fees are $5.50 ages 5 and under; $11 ages 6 to 14; and $22 ages 15 and up. For more information and to register, visit RES5K.com.
