Radnor High School Dedicates Gymnasium

Radnor High School dedicates its gymnasium to legendary coach Ellis Dwyer.

On Friday celebrated the life of Ellis Dwyer — a Radnor teacher and coach who for more than thirty years ran the boys basketball team — by dedicating the gymnasium in his name.

came from Mr. Ralph Gray (Radnor High School Class of '64) who played basketball under Coach Dwyer, as well as spending long summer days at the former Rosemont Elementary School on the basketball courts.

Gray remembers the love and care, but the toughness and discipline of Coach Dwyer. He said he was driving through Radnor several years ago, and asked a friend what was named after the coach. When his friend told him nothing, he was astounded and knew he had to change it.
