Radnor Institution In Danger of Closing

Time, money is needed from the Radnor community.

A Better Chance is a program that allows children from disadvantaged areas to attend a high school that may give them a better chance at success.

The Radnor ABC house is on West Wayne Avenue in Wayne. The program has been in existence since 1972 in Radnor, but recently for a number of reasons financial and volunteer support has waned for the organization.

Check out Radnor A Better Chance's Web site.

Airing tonight, Thursday, on Radnor channel 21 will be an interview with Anna Davis, vice president of Radnor ABC, and Vanessa Ramlal and Eliezer Marte, current participants in the program. They will talk about the program itself and what is needed from the community to keep it alive and thriving.

The interview will appear on Radnor Patch and Radnor Patch's Youtube channel on Friday, Dec. 14.

Read an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer about the dire situation.

Can you list some of the needs here? How much money? What type of volunteers?
Sam Strike December 13, 2012 at 08:19 PM
Sorry. And they'll get into specifics on the TV show, but they need board members, different types of volunteers (making dinners, driving kids) and any money. I have volunteered to be an emergency driver when I am able.
