Radnor School Board OKs Revised Calendar

The board met Tuesday night to discuss the district calendar.

The Radnor Township School District School Board met Tuesday night to determine how best to change the school calendar to accommodate all the snow days we've had this year.

There have been eight snow days so far: Dec. 10; Jan. 3; Jan. 21; Jan. 22; Feb. 3; Feb. 5; Feb. 6; and Feb. 7.

According to the district, the following changes were made to the school calendar Tuesday night:

School is now scheduled to be in session on:

  • Friday, Feb. 14 (previously a Teacher In-Service Day)
  • Monday, Feb. 17 (previously a district holiday for President's Day)
  • Monday, April 14 (previously Spring Break)
  • Tuesday, April 15 (previously Spring Break)
  • Wednesday, April 16 (previously Spring Break)
  • Tuesday, May 20 (previously a Teacher In-Service Day)
As of Tuesday night, the final school day of the year will be Friday, June 13. However, if any additional school closures are needed, those makeup days will be added to the end of the year, the district said.

At Tuesday's meeting, the board also approved a resolution showing appreciation for all the hard work of the district and the township in responding to the winter storms.
