Radnor's New Superintendent Comes from Lower Merion

Radnor Township's Board of School Directors appointed Michael J. Kelly, Ed. D., J.D. as superintendent of Radnor Township School District at its board meeting on Tuesday, June 25.

Radnor Township's  Board of School Directors appointed Michael J. Kelly, Ed. D., J.D. as superintendent of Radnor Township School District at its board meeting on Tuesday, June 25.

Kelly is currently the assistant superintendent for Lower Merion School District and is expected to start his position on August 26.

“Radnor is one of the finest school districts in the region and I believe this is due to a staff, school board and community committed to providing all students with an incredible opportunity to learn and grow,” Kelly is quoted in a press release from the district.

“One critically important goal I have for myself and for Radnor Township School District is to continue to not only meet high expectations, but to welcome them and use these expectations as a driving force towards continued excellence.”

Kelly, who also holds a law degree, has 25 years of experience in public education, including 14 years at Lower Merion, according to the press release.
