Red Raiders Hope to Learn From Mistakes

Radnor reflects on 0-2 start in football.

Radnor has dropped to 0-2 this season, and there are some glimmers the Red Raiders could glean from this start. played very well in the second half of in the season opener, and again stayed with a very good Strath Haven team for a quarter before in a 35-0 loss.

“We see where we are right now,” said Radnor senior captain Paul Somboonsong, the Red Raiders’ starting center and middle linebacker. “We have a freshman that is starting on the offensive line and a few sophomores that play both ways. We’re young in areas of the field. Right now, what will honestly bring us together is the senior class. Even though we were down against Strath Haven, we still competed. The seniors have to bring this all together.”

Radnor hosts Harriton, which is 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the Central League, this Friday night at 7 p.m. In fact, five of Radnor’s first six games will be at home this season.

“We have to learn from our mistakes,” Somboonsong said. “Football is a game of all the small little things, and we haven’t been able to connect them. I understand we’re a young team, but we have to get there. We have to win this game and go 1-1 in the Central League this week.”
