St. Katharine's Welcoming Students Who Lost Their School

More than 40 children are transferring from St. Monica's in Berwyn.

More than 40 students from St. Monica's School in Berwyn, , have enrolled in in Wayne.

The transferring students include kindergartners to eighth graders; the largest group being welcomed is 11 students in the eighth grade, said Bud Tosti, principal of St. Katharine's.

"We are excited to greet our new students again in the fall," said Tosti.

St. Monica's families have been welcomed with a special open house for parents and a new parent orientation night, and the students visited the school to spend the day with their future classmates.

Also, all new families coming in are paired with a mentor family to help them transition over the summer by answering questions and being "on call' for them, Tosti said.
