She has served as an adjunct professor at Eastern University and Holy Family College, and is currently the Chief Operating Officer for ESF Summer Camps, Inc. She is a graduate of Eastern University, and has a Master’s degree and Ph. D. from Temple University. Dr. Sauchuk has significant experience in program development, marketing, recruitment and retention, and financial management.

“Valley Forge has a rich history of molding young men and women into leaders, and that dovetails with what I have considered the mission of my career,” said Sauchuk. “There is great tradition here, as well as great opportunity. I’m very proud to be a part of it, and eager to get started.”

Mr. Floyd stressed that VFMA&C remains committed to its military model, and intends to have a strong military leader as Commandant. Colonel James J. Doyle, USMC (Ret.), who had been serving as interim President, will serve on at VFMA&C on an interim basis. A search is underway for a permanent Commandant. In addition to his time as interim President, Col. Doyle has served as Superintendent, Vice President, and Dean of the Academy. He originally joined the VFMA&C staff in 2003 after a distinguished career in the Marine Corps.

Sauchuk was chosen after a national search.
