Villanova's Day of Service Sends Kids into the Community

More than 4,000 Villanova University students, faculty, staff and alumni will participate in the University’s 2012 “Day of Service,” volunteering at 19 Main Line sites, including Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals and the Radnor Historical Society in Radnor.

Other Main Line sites include Footlighters Theatre in Berwyn, St. John AME Church, Wayne, Miss Mazie’s Garden/Kids First Now, Wayne, Malvern Retreat House, Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Strafford; Joy of Sox, Connelly Center on campus, and Main Line YMCA.

This event is part of Villanova’s annual St. Thomas of Villanova Celebration, honoring the University’s patron saint, who was known for his great charity to the poor and marginalized.
