Whiz Kid: Victoria David

The New York native is active in school government and is driven by her intellect and ideals.

Every week Radnor Patch spotlights the accomplishments of local children and teenagers. Nominations for the Whiz Kid of the Week can come from local schools, churches, scouts, youth groups or any individual and can be for a variety of scholastic, athletic or service-oriented deeds. This week’s “Whiz Kid” is Victoria David, a senior at Radnor High School.

Accomplishments: Victoria is a top academic achiever who is also on the school's Honor Council and in student government as Secretary of her class. She has achieved many goals, such as being an announcer for the Mr. Radnor Pageant fundraiser, which she helped devise. As a junior representing the RHS Honor Council she was a panelist at a national ethics forum in Arlington, VA, where other schools took note of her innovative "Treat, Don't Cheat" plan to promote honesty and integrity among students.

Keys to Awesomeness: According to nominator Sabrena Hutt, a junior at Radnor, Victoria's achievements throughout her high school career have been driven by her intellect and ideals, and have been recognized by her peers. A native of New York City, she to Radnor thanks to the national "A Better Chance" organization, which helps students of color who grow up in less-than-ideal environments attend schools that provide greater academic challenges.
