RADNOR BOYS CREW CLUB

The weather for the Head of Schuylkill River was certainly much better than some prior years (two years ago there was snow on the ground for Sunday racing), but there were still some tough head- and cross-winds to deal with, particularly later in the day.  Nevertheless, the Radnor Crew Clubs made a good showing and the coaches were pleased with the effort by all the rowers.

The two RBCC boats racing in the afternoon Mens HS First & Second Varsity 8+ race took on a crowded field and windy conditions. The Radnor A8+ boat included Kevin Janson, George Walker, Oscar Glassman, Alex Chain, Colin Zwagerman, Liam Williams, Ryan Borowski, Henry Leonardi and cox Zach Pepper. The Radnor B8+ included Dan Hughes, Stephen Fitch, Connor Kerpius, Evan Horvath, Stephen Ching, Benton Duncan, Max Caggiula, Moses Woode and Jake Palaha (cox).

The HOSR is the last head race (time trial) of the Fall season.  The last regatta of the season for the Radnor boys will be on Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Bill Braxton Regatta on the Cooper River in Camden/Cherry Hill.  Unlike head racing, the Bill Braxton is sprint racing, meaning the boats race five and six across on a much shorter race course.  This final race of the Fall allows all rowers, particularly new rowers, to use what they’ve learned in the Fall in the kind of races they will be rowing in the Spring.
