There is actually a listing of the largest trees in our state? And a website, of course.It's like a Guinness Book of World Records but just for trees . . . and it's called " PA Big Trees".

 Arborist Scott Wade works with Longwood Gardens, and he is also the volunteer who maintains this database of magnificent trees. The Copper Beech (fagus sylvatica f. purpurea) located at the Wayne Bed & Breakfast is splendid, and measures 176 inches in circumference-that’s 14 feet, 8 inches! Scott estimates it may possibly have been planted when the house was originally built in the 1890’s. You are welcome to come by the Wayne B&B Inn to see this tree towering close to 100 feet high.
