Experience the beauty and variety of our parks' wildflowers. Learn about native wildflowers and how to identify those in our parks. There are some rare varieties that grow prolifically along our trails. Each walk is limited to 12 participants.  Please let us know which day you prefer.   

 

Rain Barrel Workshop: Why and How

Sunday, April 22, 2:00 PM

Radnor United Methodist Church of Garrett Hill, 930 Conestoga Road, Garrett Hill

Co-sponsored by the Radnor Conservancy, the Radnor Memorial Library, and the Garrett Hill Coalition

Marissa Barletta, a Garrett Hill resident and consultant to the Philadelphia Water Department supporting their Green City, Clean Waters program, will lead a workshop about rain barrels, how to use them, and why we should.  Attendees will be entered in a drawing to win one of four rain barrels, and all will receive a certificate good for a reduced price on a rain barrel purchased from Do-It-Best Hardware in Wayne.  

 

Arbor Day Celebration

Radnor Township was named a 2011 Tree City USA - our 20th year receiving this recognition!  In honor of Arbor Day, join us for a tree planting ceremony as well as a "How-To" demonstration, and a Tree City USA recognition.  

 

Big Tree Planting Day

Sunday, April 29, 12:00 - 3:00 PM

Clem Macrone Park, 810 Conestoga Road, Bryn Mawr

Volunteer with the Radnor Conservancy to plant over 100 trees and shrubs along the streambank at Clem Macrone Park!  Bring your gloves and tools and join in planting native species designed to keep the streambank strong and the park beautiful for years to come.  Bring the whole family!
