Radnor High School and Radnor Bird Town volunteers worked Sunday to help designate Martha Brown's Woods, the property that runs along Route 30 at the high school, as a Bird Sanctuary.
The day started off cold, but volunteers from Radnor High School's Roots & Shoots, The National Honors Society, Band and Middle School the and community contributed to improving Martha Brown’s Woods.
"The workday was cut short because of snow fall, but the enthusiasm of those working was not blanketed," it was reported. Trash bags of Japanese Honeysuckle outnumbered that of litter and trash that was collected.
There will be other workdays this coming spring. The Woods will be designated as a sanctuary with help from Audubon PA and Radnor Bird Town.
