Greg Prichard of the Radnor Historical Society chooses the photographs and writes the text for the weekly column. He has previously been honored by this award in the Special Project category for his work on websites about local history.

According to Elaine Paul Schaefer, who made the nomination, the context of the weekly photo often relates to "an issue that is a modern, timely subject of discussion in our present-day community."

Schaefer also states in her nomination that because it is run on Radnor Patch, the column "reaches many younger, but curious, community members who, but for this column, would be very unlikely to proactively seek historic information about their region."

The deadline for Historic Preservation Award nominations is March 2.
