Wayne Firm Donates $1,000 to Curious George Fund

The was the recipient of a charity fundraiser recently.

Executive Director at the Delco SPCA Rick Matelsky (left) and Director of Community Relations Justina Calgiano (right) received a $1,000 donation check from Renee Patrone, event manager at Root Strategies in Wayne, during a presentation on April 25.

The Delco SPCA was the designated charity of the winning team during the 9th annual Black Tie Bowling Fundraiser. More than 100 Philadelphia area residents teamed up to bowl for their favorite charity March 31 at Wynnewood Lanes in Ardmore.

The second place team donated $600 to Special Olympics. The Delco SPCA will use the $1,000 donation specifically to further the work of the like Dorothy, an Australian Shepherd, pictured, that was hit by a car and needed to have her hind right leg amputated.
