Main Liners Rally in Harrisburg Over Gun Laws
A rally, organized by the organization Ceasefire PA, drew hundreds of people from all over the state, many from the Philadelphia area.
On Wed., Jan. 23, 48 people from the Main Line rode to the State Capitol in Harrisburg to rally in support of what they call “common sense” gun laws. The effort to gather happened shortly after the Sandy Hook shooting and was led by Lower Merion United, a group that aims to end gun violence. A rally, organized by the organization Ceasefire PA, drew hundreds of people from all over the state, many from the Philadelphia area. Ceasefire PA presented a document with five requests for gun laws (see it in the pdf section of this article), but Wayne’s Darla DeMorrow, who attended the rally, has just two: don’t allow assault rifles and high capacity magazines to be widely available to the public.
