Did you see anything suspicious?
A home in the 300 block of Eagle Road in Wayne was broken into on Monday, May 6 between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The 300 block runs from Strafford Avenue to the bridge over the Paoli-Thorndale line. Like numerous other incidents that have taken place in Radnor over the past week, a back door was broken into. Several items of jewelry were taken from the home's master bedroom, according to police. This is one of a number of recent cases in which the victims' home backs up to the SEPTA/AMTRAK R5 line. "Residents are urged to be cautious and observant of any individuals that may appear to be suspicious or may be walking along the R5 tracks," a police statement reads.
Jewelry has been stolen from a number of homes in the area recently.
A home in the 400 block of Upper Gulph Road in Radnor was burgled on Friday, May 3, according to Radnor Police. The back door of the house had been forced open, police discovered, and an unspecified amount of jewelry was taken from the master bedroom. Three thefts from cars parked in lots at the school were reported on the same day.
Radnor Police received three reports of cars broken into while parked in parking lots at Villanova University during the night of April 24 and early morning of April 25. According to police reports, windows were smashed and items inside the cars were taken.

Police found 252 bags of heroin and 20 bags of cocaine in a backpack.
A 22-year-old Villanova man and 20-year-old Gladwyne man were arrested after police found them to be under the influence of narcotics and carrying bags of heroin and cocaine on April 22 in the area of Godfrey Road and Radnor Valley Road in Villanova. According to a report, police were called to the area around 1 p.m. for the report of a fight and an alleged stolen car. The men were found "visibly under the influence of a narcotic" walking in the Radnor Valley Golf Club. Both were placed under arrest for public intoxication and criminal tresspass. Then, police searched the backpack of the Villanova man to find 252 bags of heroin, 20 bags of cocaine, vials and bottles of anabolic steroids and $2,916 in cash. While the men were being …

The Radnor Township Police Department will be hosting its annual open house on Friday, May 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The public will be able to meet with police officers and learn about everything they are involved in—from bomb squads to SWAT teams to prisoner transportation. Activities, tours, demonstrations and displays are planned for the event, which is held at the police station at 301 Iven Ave.in Wayne. The department hopes to inform residents "of various police functions and show how law enforcement, emergency and civil agencies work together to serve the community," according to a flyer.

Unlocked back doors played a part in the crimes.
Radnor Police are investigating two residential daytime burglaries that took place in the 100 block of Walnut Avenue in Wayne on Monday, April 19 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. According to police, someone entered through unlocked back doors. One home owner reported that they were gone all day; the other home owner that they were in and out all day. Numerous items of jewelry were taken. Police are also investigating a residential daytime burglary that took place in the 300 block of Chamounix Road in St. Davids on Tuesday, April 23 between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Again, someone entered through an unlocked back door, according to police.
