Lower Merion police charged two men in the Feb. 12 armed robbery of the Sunoco A-Plus at City Avenue and Conshohocken State Road in Bala Cynwyd.
Lower Merion police have charged two men in connection with a Feb. 12 robbery of a Sunoco A-Plus in Bala Cynwyd, the police department announced Thursday afternoon. One of the men displayed a handgun in the robbery of the Bala Cynwyd store that occurred at 4:33 a.m. Feb. 12, according to police. No one was injured. The men, 34-year-old Rezekiel Harris of the 1300 block of S. 31st. Street in Philadelphia and 26-year-old Hakim King of the 6000 block of Vine Street in Philadelphia are facing charges of robbery, criminal conspiracy, theft and related offenses, according to a Lower Merion Police Department press release. Police have captured the second person they say was part of a duo that robbed the Bryn Mawr Wawa in Radnor Township on Feb. 9. Hakeem King, 27, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody at a home in the city with the assistance of Philadelphia Police Warrants Unit and State Constable Michael Connor. King was captured on store surveillance video acting as a “lookout," according to police, and was positively identified by a witness after being shown a photo array. He is facing charges of robbery, conspiracy and assault. According to Radnor Police, King waived extradition back to Radnor Township. Once back at Radnor Township Police Headquarters, he confessed to his role in the robbery of the Wawa. King was arraigned before District Justice …

Rezekiel Harris, a 34-year-old Philadelphia resident has confessed to three robberies that occurred since January in Lansdowne Borough, Upper Darby Township, most recently in Radnor Township at the Bryn Mawr Wawa. On Tuesday, February 14, Harris was apprehended and charged with the three separate robberies and related charges, according to a release by the Radnor Township Police Department. Harris is awaiting processing with Upper Darby Township Police relating to the robbery charges that occurred there.

The robbery took place Feb. 9 at the Bryn Mawr Wawa.
At 11 p.m. on Thursday the Wawa in Bryn Mawr was robbed at gunpoint. According to The Radnor Township Police Department, two black men entered the store, and one was armed with a handgun. During the course of the robbery, the armed man discharged his firearm into the floor, which caused an injury to a store employee, a 44-year-old man, from flying debris. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the store, according to police. According to the Delaware County Times, the robbery was similar to another one that took place on Lansdowne Avenue in Lansdowne Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2 in the afternoon and may have been done by the same people.
