About Mary

I am a practicing Human Relations Counselor and a Certified Group Psychotherapist for 33 years.  Private practice in Bryn Mawr, PA 1930.  Available by phone or in person.

I work with individuals (20 years old and up), couples and groups to explore where people’s sadness or anxiety originates.  Sometimes pain is situational and sometimes it originates from childhoood trauma.  I also work within religious communities and with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  I understand the role of caregiver and serious illnesses.

My counseling is spiritually driven and clinically sound.  I give people hope and help them find their way.

By clinical training and personal experience I am a grief specialist.  I lost a beautiful daughter, Katie, to a brain tumor she managed for 10 years.  I have written about how a child's illness affects a family, a marriage, in-laws. Sarah Ban Breathnach, Publisher and NYT's multi-time #1 Best Selling Author of Simple Abundance, believes its message will make When Every Day Matters: A Mother’s Memoir on Love, Loss and Life the classic book on grief and hope.  Available on Amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com

Foreign rights with St. Pauls and Better Yourself Books in Mumbai, India, English version.  It’s distribution is in India, Sri Lanka, The Philippines, Malaysia and Africa.

I facilitate a no-cost monthly group for mothers who have lost children called "Mothers Finding Meaning Again."  Please see my website for further information.
