Avero Craft Pizza to Debut in Devon

Fresh, Italian eats to be available in the Whole Foods shopping center.

Wood-fired pizza meets hand-tossed salad at the upcoming Avero Craft Pizza in Devon.

The modern pizzeria, owned by Scott Morrison and Vince Schiavone, is set to open its first-ever location in early July. For months, construction workers have been breaking ground, gradually adding burnt orange accents and homey outdoor curtains, at the 821 Lancaster Ave. spot in the Whole Foods Shopping Center.
With buzz words like "eat", "love" and "laugh" printed on the outdoor awnings, the Italian eatery is sure to splash some more trendy cuisine onto the Main Line.

There will be a wood-burning pizza oven and full bar on-site.

"All food is made from scratch," said general manager Pete Raffetto. "All fresh pasta, fresh meatballs, salads tossed at the table."

"It's going to be craft food, craft beverage. Very food-forward as far as the beverages —beer and wine— are concerned."

Raffetto described the prices as low to moderate, equivalent to "casual to semi-fine dining."

"Our two key words are community and craft around here," he said. "It's high end food, high end service with a casual feel."
