A man and woman were found dead in a South Wayne home on Sunday.

Radnor Police Superintendent William Colarulo said Sunday that he believes a murder-suicide took place in a home on South Wayne Avenue.

At around 2:20 p.m. on Sunday, police received a phone call, reporting a shooting, from a man. Although the investigation is preliminary, he said he believes the man made the call before he killed himself. A 357 Magnum was believed used for at least one of the deaths.

A child was on the property during the incident, which took place in a pool house. The child was in the main home at the time, Colarulo said. He said he believe the deceased, a husband and wife, have three children.

Colarulo said a team of detectives is working with the Delaware County Medical Examiner.

"It's very sad," he said, adding that they are trying to place two of the children in protective care.
