Overnight Fire Consumes Big Garage on Darby-Paoli Road

Fire departments from two counties are called in to fight blaze.

Firefighters from Radnor, Berwyn, Paoli, Malvern and several Delaware County fire departments battled a garage fire that broke in the early morning hours of Saturday on Darby-Paoli Road in Radnor Township.

Berwyn Fire Company engine, tower truck and medic unit responded from Bewryn.  First reports of the blaze came in shortly before 1:00 a.m.. Berwyn Fire Co. Assistant Fire Chief Eamon Brazunas tells Patch the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Radnor Township Fire Marshal (that is standard procedure for fires like this).

There were no injuries reported and the monetary extent of the damage was not known as of late Saturday morning.

The fire did extensive damage to the building described in multiple media reports as a four car, two-and-a-half story garage.

Radnor, Berwyn, Paoli, Malvern, Llanerch, Broomall, Newtown Square, and Manoa fire companies all responded to the blaze which was reported under control shortly after 1:30 a.m..
