Radnor Home Sales Up for Third Year

Property settlements in Radnor Township during the first half of 2013 increased for the third year in a row.

According to a report from Prudential Fox and Roach, there were 189 properties that closed from January to June, compared with 151 from last year. 

The first half of 2011 saw 137 settlements, up from 94 the prior year.

The median price of the properties that did sell in the first six months of 2013 decreased 9 percent over the same period last year, from $550,000 to $499,900.

The median price has remained steady over the past four years. In 2011 it was $570,000; the prior year it was $565,000, according to the report.

The average days on the market decreased by 5.5 percent from the first half of last year from 87 to 82 days.
